CLARET, France - March 24, 2009 - NETIA today announced that it will introduce Radio-Assist 8.0 at the 2009 NAB Show. This latest version of the company's popular Radio-Assist suite of digital audio software programs has been enhanced with a range of innovative new tools designed to facilitate smooth end-to-end workflows in the delivery of media via both traditional broadcast channels and multiplatform distribution.
" By automating the process of publishing media and associated metadata, Radio-Assist 8.0 gives content owners and distributors a streamlined means of building multiplatform delivery into their existing workflows," said Christophe Carniel, CEO at NETIA. " The interfacing of Radio-Assis 8.0 with our Manreo media asset management system further simplifies operations for media groups by facilitating the enrichment of metadata and sharing of video, audio, images, and text throughout their operations."
Radio-Assist 8.0 features new planning tools that allow users to prepare publication of media early in the workflow, much as they would create an on-air playlist for over-the-air broadcasts. An automatic publishing engine streamlines publishing of media to the appropriate target while managing metadata and linked media.
Three different types of publishing are available to users. Within Radio-Assist 8.0 a new "Publication" tab allows journalists to publish audio-only content and its metadata; publish audio and associated media, such as video, text, or images; or prepare a group of items for automatic conversion and publishing to an array of destinations, including podcasts, Internet postings, or delivery to mobile devices.
Through integration with NETIA's Manreo media asset management system, Radio-Assist 8.0 also provides users with instant access to all types of media, whether archived or online. As a result, media ranging from audio and video to images and text is available for immediate review and can subsequently be restored for repurposing and delivery to broadcast and/or broadband/mobile channels.
NETIA's Radio-Assist 8.0 suite of digital audio software programs covers each part of the production and broadcast workflow, allowing users to record, edit, or prepare a playlist. In addition to new browse and publishing tools for full multimedia functionality, the software features tools for acquisition, sound-file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom systems, scheduling, multicasting, administration, and more.
