Focus is on Convergence for NETIA at IBC 2010

At IBC this year, NETIA will focus on the convergence of the broadcasting and telecommunications sectors with a new line of audio and video content life cycle management and preparation solutions. NETIA is at the heart of this convergence, with efficient, flexible and effective technologies that empower multiplatform delivery, growing volumes of on-demand audio and video content and multiple content formats. At IBC the company will co-exhibit with parent company GlobeCast, securing their position as an integrator of broadcast and telecommunications technology and a leading service provider. Together the two companies will introduce technologies that reach the whole broadcast chain from contribution to playout and delivery.

NETIA will be demonstrating its new content management solutions, based on proven applications, that aid media players in their quest to provide cost effective audio and video content and manage and monitor combined activities and content for television, internet, telephony and mobile platforms.

Introducing for the first time at IBC:

 

NETIA Content Management System

At IBC 2010, NETIA will be introducing for the first time, its fully upgraded suite of media asset management solutions. It allows NETIA customers to globally streamline all of their production processes thanks to simple, easy-to-manage workflows and task automation. The new software suite also allows users to connect all of their partners and vendors within a single production ecosystem, simplifying the sharing and managing of media assets.

The users can now manage all of the processes within the production environment - from editing through post and distribution - through one unique, and easy to use interface. The new web-based interface, built on Silverlight technology, allows for more performance and greater security.
All modules provide for ingest and quality control; metadata extraction and tagging; search, browse and low-res proxy generation; integration with key 3rd party systems including QA, tape/disk-based archive, non-linear editing, playout and traffic automation; and Multiplatform Delivery to Mobile TV, VoD/Catch Up TV, IPTV, Web Streaming, HD and SD distribution platforms.

Radio-Assist 8

At IBC 2010, NETIA will also demonstrate its entire Radio-Assist^TM 8 range of digital audio automation software, highlighting its two new modules, CamDirector and NETIA Workflow Engine. These modules were first introduced at NAB earlier on this year. The company will also illustrate the tight integration between Radio-Assist and NETIA's asset management system. Equipped with a broad range of tools for end-to-end multimedia workflows, this latest version of NETIA's acclaimed Radio-Assist 8 software suite now extends beyond traditional broadcasting, allowing users to prepare publication at an early stage of the workflow.

An important addition to Radio-Assist is CamDirector. First introduced at NAB this year is a new Radio-Assist module that brings direct camera control and automated video switching to the company's Radio-Assist 8 suite of digital audio automation software. With this capability, radio broadcasters can create live, switched programs for broadcast, streaming, or podcast. NETIA will also highlight is Workflow Engine for Radio Assist, a new workflow management system, designed to allow media companies to easily choreograph their own workflow.
