CLARET, France - Sept. 3, 2010 - NETIA today announced that RTL Radio has become the first French national radio broadcaster to deploy the Radio-AssistTM 8 digital audio software suite. This latest release of Radio-AssistTM addresses the entire RTL radio production workflow, providing tools for preparing and airing program audio, news, music, jingles, and commercials. The Radio-AssistTM architecture and operating system make it the ideal solution for centralizing and automating RTL's 24/7 operations, and the broadcaster has currently installed the software in nearly 300 workstations.
With this latest version of Radio-AssistTM 8, RTL enjoys the benefit of many new features. Version 8 is equipped with a broad range of tools for end-to-end multimedia workflows, and it now extends beyond traditional broadcasting, allowing the broadcaster to prepare for multiplatform publication at an early stage of the workflow. Using Radio-AssistTM 8, RTL can now manage multiplatform distribution of multimedia elements including sound, video, images, and text - all as metadata - and add value to existing and new content while realizing greater efficiency in delivering online media.
RTL, part of the Bertelsmann group, employs more than 100 journalists and 20 radio hosts and is on air 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with more than six million listeners tuned in each day.
