NEW AT NETIA FOR IBC 2006

A- New product range: Media Logging

At IBC2006, NETIA will highlight its new Media Logging range.

Media Logging meets the increased worldwide demand for Radio and TV monitoring systems by carrying out the capture, indexing, transcoding, and distribution of audio and video content.

This product range lends itself to broadcasters, telecom and mobile phone operators and the internet companies.

With the Media Logging applications, video and audio files are captured 24 hours a dayinto the Media Logging database where they are individually examined, segmented and completed with the necessary associated metadata this in a automatic or semi-automatic way through the use of modern and future proof speech-to-text and image recognition techniques. The complete range is naturally fully web based to cope with todays way of working.

With its user-friendly, modular design, the Media Logging products are perfectly adapted for media companies and telcos active in the repurposing of content. This product line delivers them workflows that can increase the speed of delivery by a factor 10 and more.

B- Manreo:

Don't miss seeing NETIA's Manreo complete range of content management software in action at IBC.

Manreo features asset management and archiving capabilities that together provide a one-stop content management solution for broadcasters, with extensive publishing capabilities for multiple formats.

Manreo allows for ingest, digitization, archiving, indexing, intranet search, and browsing of all types of audio and video files. Users can publish this content directly to multiple formats, such as the Internet and mobile phones, as well as to third-party systems, and can define their own rules for automatic publishing of content. Additionally, Manreo can be set up so that publishing triggers automatic encoding of the video to the proper target format, such as video formats used in mobile phone applications.

C- Radio-Assist 7.5 Range Including Recently Announced Modules:

  • Podcasting NETIA will highlight its new Podcasting module for the company's Radio Assist 7.5 range of digital audio software programs. The new module provides a significant way to increase the presence of a radio station on the internet and in the mobile world.

  • Multitrack XT for NETIA's Radio-Assist 7.5 Intended for radio professionals, this editing tool for Radio-Assist 7.5 is designed for multitrack digital audio recording and editing. Intuitive, flexible, and offering a very rich feature set, NETIA's Multitrack XT solution is a simple, ergonomic, reliable tool ideally suited for audio editing and production work. NETIA's new multitrack tool is the only solution capable of mixing both linear and compressed data on a single track. Along with traditional recording, editing, and playback features, NETIA's Multitrack XT solution offers time stretching, pitch shifting, noise reduction, noise gating, synchronization (video, post-production), stereo and multitrack broadcasting, support for CD audio engraving programs, and import/export mp3 files. Multitrack XT offers easy-to-use drag-and-drop functions, and provides several technical advantages, including two to 32 inputs/outputs (according to the number of cards installed); an unlimited number of tracks (limited only by the performance of the host computer); and up to 16 tracks per output channel. All editing tools can be used independently on each track. Multitrack XT offers several advanced features including unlimited undo/redo; copy-paste, insert, drag-and-drop; simultaneous recording and playback; open architecture for simplified customization and external control; synchronization functions for post-production; and management for CD audio engraving.

  • Interfacing Radio-assist with the Lawo mixing consoles and leveraged security on air. AIR DDO, the flagship on air tool of the Radio Assist range, is now deeply integrated with the Lawo consoles and delivers a highly secured on air environment. This integration will be show cased at the IBC as it is in use at RFI and Radio France.

  • AIR-DDO Offers New Features for NETIA's Radio-Assist 7.5 Air-DDO.

NETIA will also be highlighting several new features for its AIR-DDO playout module. The AIR-DDO is the result of several years of research and reflection and focuses as much on the ergonomic level as on the technological. Spread over two monitor screens, the GUI simultaneously displays four broadcast channels and offers access to numerous help and preparation tools, including a cuer, on-air monitoring, playlist modification, recording, production, etc. To meet developments in music radio networks, Air-DDO has been enriched with many DJ functions.

Radio-Assist 7.5 provides simultaneous access to several products. With a single application, the user can record, edit, or prepare a playlist. Each stage is covered from production to broadcast: acquisition, sound file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom systems, scheduling, multicasting, administration, etc. The Radio-Assist 7.5 range is designed for a specific need and has a wide range of functions. With its modular structure, it can adapt to the different requirements of radios and rapidly integrate into an existing environment.
