October 2005 : Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) recently selected the Media Logging solution from NETIA, a full-featured digital channel monitoring system.

The system automatically captures 16 different sources from various broadcasters. The audio file can be accessed for playback as soon as capture has begun. Footpedal control enables users to play back and transcribe the document at the desired speed. The audio file, converted to mp3 format, is quickly sent along with the transcribed text to MDA partners via e-mail.

MDA, with the expertise of Media Corp Radio, chose NETIA's end-to-end solution.

" Media Logging handles all the tasks required for monitoring (recording, transcription, editing, and export), improves efficiency by enabling playback during recording, and provides the flexibility of importing and exporting in a range of file formats. Finally, the footpedal for controlling the playback speed is a key advantage for transcription," says Colin Tan of Broadcast Professional Pte Ltd, NETIA's distributor in Singapore.
