Comité Français de Radio-Télévision uses NETIA MANREO ^TM to repurpose " Le Jour du Seigneur" programs for public access via new online library system. MANREO ^TM content management system simplifies digitizing, repurposing, and distribution of popular program over multiple platforms.

CLARET, France - Nov. 14, 2006 - NETIA today announced that the Comité Français de Radio-Télévision is using the NETIA MANREO ^TM content management solution to support JDS.tv, a new online library featuring " Le Jour du Seigneur" ("Day of the Lord"), France's oldest broadcast program. The MANREO ^TM system is enabling Comité Français de Radio- Télévision staff to repurpose and organize more than 2,000 hours of Catholic religious documentaries and news magazines, originally broadcast on the France 2 television network, for public access via the JDS.tv Web site.

" We've basically kept material from "Le Jour du Seigneur" on tape and film in a cupboard for the past 50 years," said Bruno Luz, CIO, Le Jour du Seigneur. " Once the material was broadcast, it became virtually inaccessible to the public, and we wanted to digitize it to preserve it for the future, making it possible for viewers to see certain programs again. NETIA's MANREO content management systems provide a flexible solution for centralizing, sharing, repurposing, and distributing this valuable content across multiple channels."

The MANREO ^TM range of software is designed to allow content owners and producers to manage and add value to media through digitization, editing of raw footage, indexing, archiving, and browsing. The Comité Français de Radio-Télévision uses several MANREO ^TM modules including the Hypercast Editor, which segments, indexes, and catalogs all types of audio and video files; the Hypercast Encoding Service, which performs transcoding, FTP, and LAN transfers, and notifies other systems at Comité Français de Radio-Télévision of the videos and sound being produced; and MANREO ^TM Café, which automates the entire video acquisition chain, from triggering recording via image recognition or according to a predefined program schedule to file encoding and transmission to remote servers.

MANREO ^TM's Hypercast Warehouse also plays a critical role in Comité Français de Radio- Télévision's archiving and repurposing activities. The NETIA system allows the association to centralize, share, and view audio, image, and video archives, and broadcast them across multiple distribution channels.
